Where are we?
Auburn Music Group is located 1/2 block west of Spur 63/McCann Road on West Cotton Street in Longview, Texas. Conveniently located between US Highways 80 & 31, AMG is easy accessible no matter where you're coming from.
When did this all start?
In January of 2006, eight men stood on a plain concrete floor surrounded by walls of huge overhead doors and signed the paperwork that would kick-start East Texas' much needed and anxiously anticipated music mega-store. Just a few short months later, on April 15, 2006, Auburn Music Group was proud to open it's doors to the world by throwing a free-to-the-public concert headlined by Longview's own Neal McCoy and featuring outstanding local talent sensations Benjamin McClish and Jason Horn. Crowds gathered early to secure a spot for the big show and numbers were estimated in the 7500-8000 attendance range. Thanks East Texas!
Why are we here?
The need for quality service is prevalent, no matter what the industry is. At Auburn Music Group, we know that and strive to bring the best attention to the needs of every possible music-oriented customer of the Ark-La-Tex area: bands, solo musicians, songwriters, recording artists, religious organizations, school districts, private functions. Whether you play an instrument, lead a worship service, or even listen to the radio, there's something at Auburn Music Group to catch your EAR!
How did this happen?
People have asked me (Steve) "How long did it take you to build this place?" My answer is always the same. "It took me about 25 years, but it only took God a couple of months." The concept of Auburn Music Group is a lifelong idea of mine and came to fruition with the help of some good friends, confidants, mentors, pickin' buddies and one very good wife and family.
